    Research profile

      The school of materials science and engineering has one first-class discipline: Material Science and engineering; and three second-class disciplines: Materials Science, material physical chemistry and material processing engineering. According to the discipline and research direction, the school has established three teaching and research platforms, two provincial and ministerial key laboratories, one Shenzhen key laboratory and four Shenzhen engineering laboratories.

      There are 44 full-time staff in the laboratory, including 25 professors, 1 researcher, 8 associate professors, 4 assistant professors, 4 assistant researcher and 2 experimental technicians. They are active in the forefront of the discipline and have carried out a lot of research work. In 2018 alone, we have undertaken 16 national level projects such as national science and technology support and natural science foundation, 54 provincial and municipal science and technology plans and horizontal cooperative research projects, and the scientific research funds received exceeded 50 million yuan. We has published 164 papers, including 159 SCI indexed papers, 19 of which have an impact factor greater than 10, and the highest impact factor is 30.067; 25 invention patents have been applied for, 13 invention patents have been authorized, and two academic works have been published.

    Since its establishment, the school has won one first prize of science and technology of machinery industry, one second prize of science and technology of machinery industry, and one third prize of science and technology progress of Heilongjiang Province.
