Recently, the team of Prof. Qiu Yejun from HITSZ's School of Materials Science and Engineering, the team of Chen Liwei and Shen Yanbin from Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics under the banner of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Andrew I. Cooper from the University of Liverpool worked together to develop a new lithium ionic conductor based on porous organic cages and use it for the electrolytes in the cathodes of solid-state batteries, which, as a result, showed good cycling performance at room temperature. Their findings were published as a paper entitled Room Temperature All-Solid-State Lithium Batteries Based on a Soluble Organic Cage Ionic Conductor in Nature Communications.
