    Lecture One on Introduction of Teachers' Research Directions in Materials Science and Engineering

        On Thursday, March 24, 2019, in classroom t5404, students of grade 2016 participated in an introduction lecture on teachers' research directions of materials. The lecture was presided over by Mr. Wang Wei. Mr. Zhao Weiwei, Mr. Qiu Huajun and Mr. Feng Huanhuan, as the keynote speakers, respectively introduced their main research directions to the students on behalf of electronic information, energy materials and biomaterials. The instructor Shi bingruo and all the undergraduates of grade 2016 attended the lecture.


        Zhao Weiwei, a professor of electronic information, introduced the direction of flexible printing electronic technology to the students. He also introduced the advantages of printing electronic technology, such as simple production process, less loss of raw materials, large-scale realization, light weight, flexible and low-cost production, as well as the current research direction to solve the problems of low safety, poor reliability and high price of printing materials It has a broad prospect in biomedical detection chip. At the same time, the teacher also introduced the flexible printing electronic center, one of the key laboratories of the Ministry of industry and information technology of the University, including five laboratories, including circuit design and simulation laboratory, printed electronic materials and Devices Laboratory, printing process and device packaging laboratory, precision equipment and testing laboratory and reliability prediction and evaluation laboratory. The teacher's detailed introduction led the students to understand the detailed information at all levels.


        Qiu Huajun, a teacher in the direction of energy materials, introduced the direction of total water decomposition and metal air battery to the students. Professor Qiu's current research focuses on dealloying design, preparation of functional nanoporous metals, graphene, metal oxides and other materials, as well as their research on Catalysis (ORR, her, oer, etc.), energy storage and sensing. At the same time, it also introduces the great prospect of energy materials.


        Teacher Feng Huanhuan of biomaterials mainly introduced the preparation and operation of active colloids. Through the application of microfluidic technology and solidification technology, the shape of micro nano scale materials can be changed. This technology can be applied in the research and development of high-throughput microfluidic platform, release capsule, preparation of multi-functional complex micro nano devices and so on. These directions are also the hot research focus at present, and the prospect is considerable.


        After the three teachers introduction of their respective directions, the students actively asked questions, and the teacher answered them enthusiastically. The atmosphere was harmonious. Finally, teacher Wang Wei summarized the speech, and the lecture was also successfully concluded in the students' full harvest.
