On November 29, at the invitation of Shuren Academy of Southern University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) jointly held the "exchange and friendship activity between the School of materials science and engineering and the Shuren Academy of Southern University of Science and Technology". During the activity, the counselors and students of the two colleges conducted friendly exchanges and interaction, which shortened the distance between the students of the two schools, enhanced their understanding of each other and deepened their friendship.
Sponsored by Shuren College of Southern University of Science and Technology and participated by the school of materials of our university, the activity is mainly divided into four stages: visiting campus, tea break, watching club performance and having dinner together.
At 13:30 p.m., the school of materials science and engineering gathered at the gate of Pingshan No.1 road and took a bus to Southern University of Science and Technology to meet the students of Shuren college who had been waiting at the gate of the school. Although it was the first time to meet, the enthusiasm of the students in Shuren college immediately resolved the tension of the students from the school of materials. As freshmen and sophomores, they still had many common languages and places to learn from each other. The atmosphere was very relaxed and harmonious.
Under the leadership of Shuren college students, the students from the school of materials first visited the campus of Southern University of science and technology. CUHK's 10th anniversary is celebrated with a lot of elements. Among them, the "school day sculpture exhibition" attracted the students to stop. The students enjoyed watching, taking pictures and even imitating the movements of sculpture. During the visit, the students from Shuren college, who led the team, warmly introduced the landmark buildings of South University of science and technology to give the students a preliminary impression of Southern University of science and technology.
At 16:00 p.m., the students finished their visit and arrived at the student activity room of Shuren College for rest. The fatigue brought by the two-hour tour was swept away by the carefully arranged exchange venue. After arriving at the venue and having a tea break, the students took their seats in an orderly manner. Then, the students from the guitar club and Piano Club of Shuren college showed their "housekeeping skills" and brought an extremely wonderful performance, which won endless praise and applause from students of materials. During the period, we also watched the contents of "resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea" and "R & D of hydrogen bomb" in the story of “the rabbit that year”. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of anti US aggression and aid Korea, we should keep in mind our ancestors, constantly strive for self-improvement and contribute to the realization of the Chinese dream. At the end of the performance, students from Shuren college gave exquisite gifts to the students of Materials College as a souvenir.
At 17:30 in the evening, the students went to the Liyuan restaurant of Southern University of science and technology. The dishes in the restaurant were unanimously recognized by the students of materials. During the meal, we shared the interesting things in our study and life with each others.
One day's activity left a good memory for the students of both schools. Before leaving, the students set up a wechat group chat, and agreed to continue to keep in touch and communicate more. The school of materials expressed its gratitude for the warm hospitality of Shuren college and sent out an invitation to invite students from Shuren college to come to Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) for exchange. At this point, the event was successfully completed.
